We are once again happy to have your interest in our sow herd and the potential of your business. Without it, we don't get to make a living doing what we love, and with that said, I hope you are certain of our passion and dedication in making high quality purebred and crossbred show animals. If you are as serious about being successful in the ring as we are, you are in the right place.

Background on gilts: Each hog at RW, no matter how good or bad, start out in a pen of 15-25 contemporaries. We then make the first cut on the gilts in which we sort off what we feel is superior genetics on the farm based on ancestry, phenotype, and maternal traits (vulva, underline, femininity). After the gilts hit about 50-80 pounds, they are sent to the grower floor in pens of 25-35. Second Cut: Any animal that we feel is not suited for the ring is sorted to a cull pen and not offered to the public. Finally, when the gilts reach a mature and comfortable breeding age for our taste, we make a final cut. At this time, we send anything that we are not willing to keep for ourselves to market. Then, we move our keeps in to lots based off of color and begin to breed the females to boars that we feel will best counter the females at hand whether it means breeding to sires at home or ordering from breeders/studs. The problem for us comes when we do the math. We seem to always have a lack of crate space for months to come. This is where you get your chance to benefit. We hope the best for you with your purchase!

NOTE REGARDING SCRATCHED LOTS: Scratched lots are individuals that have developed some quality problem after the catalog has been posted. Examples include injuries, illness, and just general quality, etc. They are not animals that have been sold. We offer No Individuals for sale before any sale.

**NOTE: Points along the way to any of these destinations are options as long as we can make it work in our delivery schedule. Give us a call to discuss.

**All delivery is free of charge with exception to the West Coast Delivery. We will get the pigs to hauler at no charge, all fees and arrangements after that must be set up with them. If you plan to use one of the delivery options listed above there is no need to call before the sale, just make sure to contact us the following day (or sale night) to confirm your delivery plans. If you need to enquire about a delivery option that is not listed, then call us BEFORE the sale to discuss. We will do our best to work with you, but it is important to discuss prior to sale if you can't make one of the listed locations.

NOTE: Photos will be taken while still boars; all pigs will be castrated and healed by sale day.
