We want to take a quick second to thank everyone for viewing our first annual online sale. We feel that we have brought you a set of cattle that can go on and compete on all levels of competition. We have a great set of steers that we feel are very diverse in shapes, kinds and colors, and a select few market heifers that will be great show prospects and even better cows when you get done showing them. Nothing is held back in this offering, you are getting the best of the best of Burke Show Cattle. All the calves are halter broke, dehorned and ready to go to the ring. This set of cattle is like nothing I have ever seen in terms of disposition and just fun to be around. The cattle will be easy to view at the ranch in Genoa, and if you can’t come see them let me tell you watching the videos are just like being here. This auction has staggered ending times. The first item will close at 7:00 PM CST . Each item will close FIVE minute after the previous. For example: Lot 1 closes at 7:00 PM. Lot 2 closes at 7:05 PM. Lot 3 closes at 7:10 PM. This will continue until all items have closed. Also note that extended bidding is in place. Therefore, if Lot 1 goes into extended bidding Lot 2 will still close at 7:05 PM and Lot 3 will still close at 7:10 PM, etc. (unless they also go into extended bidding) while Lot 1 is still in extended bidding. This scenario applies to all lots. With extended bidding in place no item will close until a period of 5 minutes has lapsed without a bid.

Maximum Bidding is a feature you may use during the duration of the auction. This feature allows you to place a private maximum bid that only you will know and allow the computer to bid on your behalf when another bidder places a bid on the same lot you are seeking. INVOICING: An invoice with payment instructions will be sent to each buyers registered e-mail address at the close of bidding. If you do not receive an invoice via your e-mail in 24 hours after the close of the auction please contact our office immediately. Failure to complete the payment terms as stated above will result in forfeiture of animals purchased and negative feedback reported to the credit bureau. Be sure you are capable of paying immediately and realize your bids are not conditional upon financing. Roger M. Hunker, Auctioneer reserves the right to charge the entire purchase price and late fees to the credit card on file if payment is not made in 4 days after the close of bidding. Unless the sale of an item is indicated otherwise, each lot will sell subject to a reserve price established by the seller. When an article is sold with reserve, the auctioneer may bid on the seller’s behalf in an amount not to exceed the reserve price.

DELIVERY OF ANIMALS AND FEES: Each buyer is responsible to coordinate delivery and buyer is to cover all cost of delivery. Arrangements need to be made prior to or immediately after purchase. No animals will be delivered until payment has been made. All animals must be picked up October 3rd. Sellers may charge up to $5.00 per day for animals not removed from the farm by October 3rd. Delivery fees may be charged by the seller if necessary. Purchases may be picked up at the farms anytime after September 12th and full payment is received. Call the seller to schedule an appointment.

HEALTH PAPERS: Furnished upon request for each individual lot. Special testing or export health testing will be at the buyer’s expense. Please call your state vet office for permits, requirements etc.

GUARANTEE: We are not responsible for injury or accidents. All animals become property of the buyer at the conclusion of the auction. Sellers can not be held responsible for the health or condition of animals after the conclusion of the auction.

Conditions: Any person placing bids on items in this auction agrees to these terms and conditions and understands that, by placing bids, they are entering into a binding contract between themselves and the seller(s) and that they will be held financially responsible for their actions. Placing a bid is a binding contract between you and the Owner/Seller, and the bid cannot be retracted. Once a Bidder places a bid, and the bid is the high/winning bid, the Bidder will be obligated to buy the lot at the said price indicated. Placing a bid on this online auction site, and winning, then not paying for the lot is illegal in most states, and prosecution can result.

The Owner/Seller of property sold through this online auction site reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

As a Bidder, you are responsible for any bids placed by you or a designated representative under your bidding number and password. The security of your Bidder information is your sole responsibility and the Bidder will be responsible for any and all bids placed under the assigned number. If, at any time, you feel that your Bidder number and password have been compromised, due to lack of security on your part, you must notify Auctioneer immediately.
Bidders agree that when using the Maximum Bid feature on our online auction web site they will use it according to the terms and conditions applicable to that feature. Please note that when using the Maximum Bid feature, if you are the current high Bidder and you want to change your Maximum Bid, you will be required to place a new bid in the increment designated for that lot in order to raise your Maximum Bid, which may cause you to raise your last high bid by one bid increment. You, as a Bidder, understand and agree to how the Maximum Bid feature works if you choose to use it.

Bid Retractions:
There are no bid retractions. ALL BIDS ARE NON-CANCELLABLE ONCE SUBMITTED. Once a bid is made and confirmed, it cannot be retracted. When a bid is made you manifest your intent and ability to buy the lot at the bid price. A false or fraudulent bid may result in legal action. Any winning Bidder who refuses to purchase the lot may be banned from all future online auctions.
Despite efforts to avoid the withdrawal of lots from the online auction sale after they are listed, it may sometimes be necessary to so withdraw lots, therefore, the Owner/Seller reserves the right to do so at any time before or during the online auction sale.
