FINE 18TH CENTURY ENGRAVED AND TACKED PENNSYLVANIA POWDER HORN. 14” beautifully mellowed rifle horn with Pennsylvania Dutch pin wheel and floral designs of a superior nature. Nicely carved throat with wavy incise carving. Initials “G S” engraved in script within the floral motif at the outer base. Seven original iron tacks and a wonderfully aged original pine plug with the original iron stud. Spectacular deep umber-gold color. One of the finest early non map horns we have had.
