24470 SOUTHERN PERC. DERINGER TARGET PISTOL ATTRIBUTED TO WM. SCHNEIDER OF MEMPHIS CIRCA 1850. ($3500)

SOUTHERN PERC. DERINGER TARGET PISTOL ATTRIBUTED TO WM. SCHNEIDER OF MEMPHIS CIRCA 1850. 12” overall with 7” octagon .36 caliber rifled barrel. Walnut stock with distinctive checkering. Engraved lock and steel mounts. Trigger guard bow engraved with “INDIAN HEADRESS”. Single set trigger and adjustable. Steel butt cap. Unsigned but very similar to other Schneider pistols including Schneider duelers. All original and very good plus. Wood missing from toe of stock and three small notches on the side of the butt. Has all the dark metal patina and stock finish.
