H.E. LEMAN, LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA PERCUSSION LONGRIFLE CA. 1840. 54” o/a with 39” octagon .50 cal. deeply rifled heavy weight barrel signed “H. E. LEMAN/LANCASTER, PA.” on the top flat. Weight 10½ lbs. Tiger maple stock with checkered wrist and brass mounts and patchbox. Lock plate stamped “HYSLOP & SON/NEW YORK”. Silver wrist and cheek rest inlays.
