| A. | #: A Description:: Thank you for taking time to view this very deep set of hogs as we’re excited to let our genetics and boar matings go to work in hanging banners this summer. A few side notes are that all hogs have had their vet recommended shots. (Rhinitis, Myco, Circo, Flusure) Also, all of the hogs being offered have been on shavings since birth, so structurally they're built correct. Be sure to check out our new website and rewards program. |
| 1. | #: 1 EN: 1-2 XG Breed/Sex: Crossbred Gilt Date Born: 1/4/13 Sire: Monster Stick Sire of Dam: Catalyst x Big Stick x Fatal Description:: The only hog being offered in the litter as the sow only ended up with 3 alive. Her two brothers are currently still intact. The dam “JLO” was Grand Jr. and Open at Jasper County Fair as well as a class winner at the Indiana State Fair. The granddam was the Div. 2 Champion at the Indiana State Fair in 2011. Needing a show gilt or sow prospect...genetics don't lie. 1-2 is the only gilt in the litter and the only reason she’s leaving is because I’ve got her mother. This female will work for a lot of people in terms of being functional, sound, and built from the ground up. No doubt that this one just needs more days on feed as her better days are ahead of her. The last two sow lines in this family have went on to be class winners at the State Fair and this female is your only chance. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. Contact Jordan Gentry at 219-208-0237, Mike Gentry at 219-208-0207 or Josh Gentry at 219-208-2084. NOTE: HORSE RACE STYLE CLOSING! WHEN TIME EXPIRES, ALL LOTS ARE DECLARED SOLD! | 2. | #: 2 EN: 2-2 XG Breed/Sex: Crossbred Gilt Date Born: 1/4/13 Sire: Turbo Sire of Dam: Catalyst x Big Stick x Fatal Description:: I’m not going to get into details with the litter 2 gilts as I could go on for days. I’ve been told by numerous people that this pen of gilts are the most impressive thing they’ve seen this year, so I guess you can decide if one of them end up in your barn. This mother of the 2’s “Rihanna” was bought back last Spring for a replacement of her mother. Her mother was the Div. 2 Champion at the Indiana State Fair in 2011, which was from S&K. The 2-2, 2-5, and 2-6 are truly flat good and will compete at any level. I will be surprised if all three of these females don’t hang a banner sometime this summer. They are all EXTRA stout in every feature but do it in a very mobile package. I might be a fool for getting rid of these females, but to become a big name in the industry, it requires #WINNING and they’re built to fit that mold. Bid with confidence because nobody likes to be a bridesmaid. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. Contact Jordan Gentry at 219-208-0237, Mike Gentry at 219-208-0207 or Josh Gentry at 219-208-2084. | 5. | #: 5 EN: 2-7 XG Breed/Sex: Crossbred Gilt Date Born: 1/4/13 Sire: Turbo Sire of Dam: Catalyst x Big Stick x Fatal Description:: I’m not going to get into details with the litter 2 gilts as I could go on for days. The 2-7 and 2-8, like their sisters are dang good, as pounds are what really separates them. All the females in the litter are sound, square, and built like an 80’s swimsuit model. They’re all darn good looking with the right amount of stoutness to still be super eye appealing. I can assure that whoever gets one of these two females will be happy that they did. The greener littermates will be selling in our next online sale if you happen to miss this opportunity. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. | 7. | #: 7 EN: 4-1 Y Boar Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Boar Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: Backwoods Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Mighty Mack Description:: The litter 4 hogs are out of a littermate to the boar we sold to Hi Point last summer named Standout. This set of yorkshire hogs are built right and continue to get better every day that their on feed. I know that genetically these hogs only get better and stouter as they mature. We sold only a few yorkshire gilts last year in which I bought one of them back, Adam Beck bought one privately at the State Fair, and then Neier bought one recently to replace the granddam of this sow. 4-1 is still intact as he was one of my three boar prospects. This male hog has grown exceptionally well and is probably the biggest backed hog in the litter. He is a pounds heavier hog compared to the rest, but for an early county fair or NJSS he’d be fine. We will be offering him as a boar so the new owner can decide if he wants to cut him or keep him intact. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. | 8. | #: 8 EN: 4-2 YB Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Barrow Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: Backwoods Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Mighty Mack Description:: The litter 4 hogs are out of a littermate to the boar we sold to Hi Point last summer named Standout. This barrow is built like an early January barrow should be constructed as you can see the future stoutness that lies within. When I look at young yorkshire barrows I want them to be a nickel on the green side as majority of the time, the stout ones don’t hold together in the end. He will make a solid county fair yorkshire barrow for someone. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. Contact Jordan Gentry at 219-208-0237, Mike Gentry at 219-208-0207 or Josh Gentry at 219-208-2084. | 9. | #: 9 EN: 4-3 YB Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Barrow Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: Backwoods Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Mighty Mack Description:: The litter 4 hogs are out of a littermate to the boar we sold to Hi Point last summer named Standout. We sold only a few yorkshire gilts last year in which I bought one of them back, Adam Beck bought one privately at the State Fair, and then Neier bought one recently to replace the granddam of this sow. 4-3 is probably the greenest hog in the litter in terms of expression today, but give this one time and feed. You study his picture and see that he’s got a super square hip that ties nicely into his top line. I know how this line of yorkshire barrows mature, so don’t be afraid to give one like this a chance because you’ll be happy you did. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. | 10. | #: 10 EN: 4-5 YB Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Barrow Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: Backwoods Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Mighty Mack Description:: The litter 4 hogs are out of a littermate to the boar we sold to Hi Point last summer named Standout. We sold only a few yorkshire gilts last year in which I bought one of them back, Adam Beck bought one privately at the State Fair, and then Neier bought one recently to replace the granddam of this sow. You want to talk about one that has a cocky look about him…This little barrow is the lightest barrow of the litter but don’t let that be deceiving! If managed right, he could be held for an August show. I love how extended this hog is, but yet still carries enough back through his rear 2/3. When all said and done, could be the sleeper hog in this set of barrows. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. | 11. | #: 11 EN: 4-7 Y Boar Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Boar Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: Backwoods Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Mighty Mack Description:: The litter 4 hogs are out of a littermate to the boar we sold to Hi Point last summer named Standout. As I set here and write this, I might be making the biggest mistake of the sale by even offering this boar pig. This male weanling is built identical to the one that I’m keeping but long story short; I want someone to win a barrow show with this hog. He is moderate in his build, extra rugged in his features, and fun to watch motor around. People have asked me for weeks if I was going to cut any of the three boars, and the answer is no but I am offering them. I just hope I’m not getting rid of the wrong boar. | 12. | #: 12 EN: 4-8 YG Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Gilt Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: Backwoods Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Mighty Mack Description:: The litter 4 hogs are out of a littermate to the boar we sold to Hi Point last summer named Standout. We sold only a few yorkshire gilts last year in which I bought one of them back, Adam Beck bought one privately at the State Fair, and then Neier bought one recently to replace the granddam of this sow. 4-8 is the greenest gilt of the group, but don’t let that scare you as it’s a while until July gets here. The greenest gilt last year brought $325 and needless to say that’s the gilt that Adam gave thousands for at the end of the summer. This gilt is built right as she’s up on her toes, great through her hamloin junction and ideal in her length of body. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. I could have shipped her a couple weeks ago but she’s way too good not for someone to own. I really feel that she’ll make an awesome sow with unlimited breeding options for making blue hogs. Here’s been the front runner of the yorkshire females ever since they were in the crate. This one ties so many things together correctly in terms of being up on her toes, tall at the point of her shoulder, square in her build, but yet still looks like a lady should. I’m really excited to see what this female could accomplish by the end of the summer. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. | 15. | #: 15 EN: 3-1 XB Breed/Sex: Crossbred Barrow Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: On Top Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Big Time Description:: Last Spring, Scott Stauffer of S&K called us about a gilt that he wanted us to buy as he knew we were starting to grow our herd. She was shown once and won her class at the State Fair before coming to Carpenter Creek Farms to become the sow we call “Ke$ha”. I called Ben Moyer about what to use on her and needless to say he hit a homerun on the mating. You’ll notice that this whole litter is super square and their tail heads sit up where they belong. 3-1 is one stout featured hog that will stick in a judges mind the moment that he hits the ring. It won’t only be because of his color pattern, as this might be the biggest backed barrow in the litter. He has that true muscle shape and mass that carries from his blade back through his hip. This rascal can be pushed to have some fun jackpotting or just brought along to hang a county fair banner. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. This belted 3-2 barrow is a barrel ribbed complete barrow that will make some 4-H’er very happy come show day. I absolutely love this hog in terms of just having enough of everything at this point, yet knowing his better days are ahead. This is the type of hog that you can shove a feed bucket to and not have to worry about soundness as he’ll motor for days. Big backed, square, stylish, GET IN! Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. I called Ben Moyer about what to use on her and needless to say he hit a homerun on the mating. You’ll notice that this whole litter is super square and their tail heads sit up where they belong. The Yorkshire appearing 3-3 barrow is the power barrow in the litter. A really big top and square hip lies in this guy, but it all goes in a proportional package with his length of body. He’s one that you could take a softball and roll from his head to the base of his tail. Having Final Drive in the pedigree will allow for these to have that heads up extra eye appeal. This is for sure one hog I’m going to keep tabs on this summer. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. Contact Jordan Gentry at 219-208-0237, Mike Gentry at 219-208-0207 or Josh Gentry at 219-208-2084. I called Ben Moyer about what to use on her and needless to say he hit a homerun on the mating. You’ll notice that this whole litter is super square and their tail heads sit up where they belong. If you’re into eye appeal and look then here’s your barrow. This blue backed hog has a killer profile with the right amount of power at this stage in the game. I’m not one who wants oodles of shape and muscle today as that’s the easiest thing to put in a hog. I love how this hog ties everything together from his head carriage back through his hip and hind leg. Again like the 2 hog, he’s loose in his skeleton, square built, and going to make someone a killer first part of July county fair barrow. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. I’m going to be blatantly honest here and say this is my pick of the barrows. This rascal would not cooperate whatsoever when we pictured, but I can assure you that the new owner will be happy he didn’t take a better picture. Here is a hog that is built right in every regard when you want to talk in terms of structure, width, power, eye appeal, and stoutness of skull. By knowing the sow line and boar, this hog can be fed for a State Fair, but I’ll leave that decision up to his new owner. I’d hate to know what this prospect barrow would bring if S&K were selling him. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. You study her picture and tell me what you’d change about her? I guess the only thing that possibly comes to my mind is that she only has a blue mask. Love the center dimension and structure in this female as she’s one I could watch for days coming and going. Here’s an opportunity to own a flat good one that will have a heck of a show career, but even a better sow with Final Drive on the bottom side, which means endless boar options. Show gilt or sow prospect, just make sure to have a showman lined up for this one! Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. | 21. | #: 21 EN: 3-9 XG Breed/Sex: Crossbred Gilt Date Born: 1/5/13 Sire: On Top Sire of Dam: Final Drive x Big Time Description:: Last Spring, Scott Stauffer of S&K called us about a gilt that he wanted us to buy as he knew we were starting to grow our herd. This big centered belted gilt is one that has stuck out since being on the sow. She has always been the sappy bellied gilt of the group with an ideal length of body. This female is so good in terms of being square from her blade back through her hip and hind leg. A stout skulled and big fore ribbed individual that will be fun to see mature. It’s hard to make one this stout while still being cool fronted. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. Contact Jordan Gentry at 219-208-0237, Mike Gentry at 219-208-0207 or Josh Gentry at 219-208-2084. Again, I could sound like a broken record here, but this litter is DEEP! It’s not too often you find nearly the whole litter being offered, especially one that ties two of Ohio’s best breeders into one package. 3-10 is a little more moderate in her make up, but don’t even begin to question if she is big enough because she is. I really like this gilt in terms of design and build as she’ll be in the hunt for someone by the end of Summer. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. Ol’ white socks is another female that is genuine in her make up, but a little more extended than her mates. She’s the greenest female of the litter, but sometimes it’s the greener ones that turn out in the end. Last year Nathan Day bought a female (littermate to the 1 & 2 litter dams) for $600 and sold her for $2,300 at the crossbred classic. It’s situations like that, which makes me happy knowing that our hogs will feed on. You’re not only buying a show gilt, but an investment. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms. Holy miss un-photogenic…I really wish she would of snapped a better picture to illustrate just how good she is, but like all women, they have their days where glamorous isn’t in their vocab. All jokes aside here is really nice practical gilt that will feed to be a complete, practical female for her future owners. This one won’t look like a rockstar until she hits 275 lb. but when she does, you’ll be happy she’s in your showstring. Consignor:: Carpenter Creek Farms.
