| 1. | #: 1 EN: 58-9 Y Gilt Breed: Yorkshire Gilt Pedigree: WOW x Power Surge Service Sire: King George (Purple Power) - Click here to view service sire! Due Date (114 days): 1/1/13 Description:: We have never been more excited to offer this set of bred gilts to the public. We have a tremendous amount of confidence in these gilts and we think they all will be a great addition to anyone’s herd. We have put a lot of time and thought into getting these gilts bred to the high profile boars that will give you a quick return on your investment. Thanks for your consideration and interest in our program. We think this lot 1 is one special female!! This one is a unique Yorkshire female in-terms of width, body, structure and balance. We love how this gilt is built, she is moderate in her frame size, she is built wide and square at the ground. She is big footed and heavy boned and has ton of body and shape. As much as we like this gilt, we love the boar she is bred to. After coming home for Louisville in July we went to Chalmers to look at King George and were in total agreement that we wanted to own half interest in King George (Thanks Chris & Susan). In all our years breeding Yorkshire hogs, we think he is one of the most unique Yorkshire boars we have ever seen. King George is moderate, wide, stout, sound, and has muscle shape like we have never seen in a York boar. With 58-9 being due first of January, we think this litter can have tremendous value. She appears to have a huge litter and we think there could be a great set of gilts and a herd boar prospect in this litter. Due Date (112 days): 1/9/13 Description:: We have never been more excited to offer this set of bred gilts to the public. We have a tremendous amount of confidence in these gilts and we think they all will be a great addition to anyone’s herd. We have put a lot of time and thought into getting these gilts bred to the high profile boars that will give you a quick return on your investment. Thanks for your consideration and interest in our program. Lot 2 is by far the best December York keeper gilt we have. We debated for two days if we were going to sell or keep this gilt. We may not have a York gilt or sow on the farm that has much foot size and bone as Lot 2 does. This gilt has a great look, she is tall fronted, long necked and is wide at the ground. She has monster feet and legs. This gilt is perfect in her structure. She can reach and flex off both ends extremely well. Lot 2 looks like she will be around for many generations, siring winning Yorkshire or crossbreds. Lot 2 is also bred to one of the most talked about and popular Yorkshire boars of the summer … KING GEORGE!! King George is a perfect mating for this gilt! These pigs should be really easy to sell and Lot 2 has been a favorite by farm visitors. As an added bonus this gilt is a littermate to Austin Thompson’s York barrow that Travis Platt bought from us… He was 3rd overall York at Expo and collected 5 or 6 grand or reserve grand banners last summer. WOW was raised by Thompson Bros, Headliner we bought from George Watson, and King George was bred by George Watson. The gilt has good shape, foot, bone and structure. This middle of February litter out of King George should be fun of her new owner. Due Date (114 days): 1/1/13 Description:: First off, we want to thank you for your interest in our program. We couldn’t be more excited about this set of females we are offering to the public. It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. This blue spotted gilt is the real deal and a special opportunity to own a tremendous litter but an even better foundation sow to build a crossbred program around. 11-3 was one impressive baby but is even more impressive today. She puts balance and power into one package with a big motor and an awesome look. She is wide made, stout skulled, and flawless on her feet and legs. She is also out of our $6500 Stohlquist sow we bought from the Banner Bound Sale in 2010 that has done a tremendous job for us. We felt No Fare was at the top of the list a year ago for making good sellable pigs that went out and won as many shows as any of the cross boars out there. This could be Rock Star good! It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. This blue belted gilt is the most impressive animal on our farm! It is a joy to do chores everyday as I find myself staring at her. She puts everything together as well as I have seen in a while, but is extreme enough to make a big impact. She is so stout, so wide, so big boned, so sound, yet so good looking. To top it all off she gives you the best color pattern you could ask for. I can honestly say I have spent countless hours wondering if we should sell this gilt because I feel like she is a once in a lifetime type of female. As you can see we dove deep into Tree Shaker this year after having several litters out of him and seeing his success last summer. As an added bonus, from our experience, Tree Shaker bred to our blue belted sows has produced several blue belted pigs in the litter. We feel like this litter could be big time! Due Date (114 days): 12/22/12 Description:: First off, we want to thank you for your interest in our program. We couldn’t be more excited about this set of females we are offering to the public. It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. This is one right from the heart of our red program. We didn’t have any red gilts to offer so we needed to pull some key young sows out of the herd for this sale. 14-3 has one of the most impressive sows you will see behind her (also pictured). Her grand dam is also our foundation sow that was Champion at Indiana in 2008. This young sow was a class winner in the Junior show at Indiana a year ago and littermate to our $2,900 entry in the open show. She is monster boned, big footed with a big back and hip. Her chest floor and skull is so massive and she is wide up top and down low all the way through. This gal will make some killer barrows and we feel like Moneyball on this sow is one of the best combinations we could imagine. This ought to be a tremendous litter. It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. Here is another opportunity to bring some color into your crossbred program. This blue belted gilt is unique as she combines more bone and foot size than most of the gilts with this color pattern typically do. She has a monster rib cage and is as powerful as you can make one combined with stout, rugged features. Mated to Tree Shaker, another good chance to get a lot of color out of this litter. This mating ought to make them extremely stout but should still have plenty of balance and look to win at the county and state level. The new owner should have fun selling these in March. Due Date (114 days): 2/4/13 Description:: First off, we want to thank you for your interest in our program. We couldn’t be more excited about this set of females we are offering to the public. It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. This 41-5 Sandbar sow will be a wise investment. We purchased her a year ago from Brandon Ogle and she has done nothing but get the job done. In her first two litters she has had 12 pigs each time, raised them perfectly, and we have sold more dollars worth of pigs out of her than any other sow in the last year, about $12,000 in 2 litters. Also pictured is a sample of what she has done so far, she was Reserve Champion Duroc Gilt at the Ring of Success this fall. Some might ask, why sell her? We had numerous calls about bred Duroc gilts this fall and we didn’t have any to offer so we decided to offer some of our best young sows that are proven to get the job done. This Moneyball litter should produce some champion barrows next summer and should be the ideal age for those state fair pigs. It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. This young cross sow is one to build around! That was our plan when we kept 3 of these littermate Revolution sows, and they haven’t disappointed. We felt like this one mated to Shoot Em was too good of an opportunity not to share with everyone. I am as excited about this mating as any in our entire sow heard, and ideal age for next summer. This sow is a barrow maker, moderate in her build and as square built as you can make one. This gal is so balanced and correct but gives you that extra power needed to win. She is also a littermate to the sow that raised our Reserve Grand Barrow at the Ft. Worth Stock this last year. Due Date (114 days): 2/5/13 Description:: First off, we want to thank you for your interest in our program. We couldn’t be more excited about this set of females we are offering to the public. It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. Here is one unique beast! This Born Again gilt is one of the widest made, most powerfully constructed females we have but her good look and style make it a great combination. This sow goes back to a couple powerful York/Cross sows that were true generators but more importantly they were lights out in the farrowing crate having pigs and raising them. We under estimate that part of making champion barrows and gilts sometimes and this one should give you that in the crate yet visually she is one impressive female that will get the job done for many years. As you can see we have a lot of confidence in using Tree Shaker on our sows and we feel this mating will give you one powerful litter and a predictable set of pigs without wondering if the new hot sire is going to work, this guys has proven himself. It is bittersweet as we have a lot of effort into putting this group of females together but we want to share them with the industry. They have all had an ultrasound by our vet to confirm pregnancy. Simply put, one of the best Yorkshire gilts we have assembled and when you study this female she puts everything together. Not extreme in any one area, but just really good in every aspect. She has the Moonshine stoutness up front with her massive skull, chest, and blade. She is so wide at the ground and good looking from the side, and as balanced as you can make one. We feel these Moonshine daughters are as good as you can get in the Yorkshire breed and have proven to be as they show up on the bottom side of pedigrees more often than not. Here is a mating that provides balance, good looks, width with the power and mass of Drive Thru. Early January Yorks out of this litter ought to be extremely popular next spring and even more so next summer. She is out of the 2010 Champion at Indiana we bought with Greg Clark that is one really good sow. 5-2 is also a littermate to the Reserve Grand Gilt at Madison County and $1,600 Class winner in both the Junior Show and Open Show at Indiana. This one mated to Integrity should be lights out.
